چکیده

Maxillary sinus is the largest among paranasal which of surgical clinical and anthropological significance. Classification maxillary antrum based on shapes sizes using panoramic radiography have not been developed till date. Different were taken into notice while tracing orthopantomogram. As radiograph most commonly available feasible technology, a deeper study this topic felt compelling. : To classify its shape, presence septa, shape floor recess employing digital radiographs. A total 1000 radiographs in soft copies Department Oral Radiology, Sree Anjaneya Institute Dental Sciences analysed for developing classification. The KODAK 8000 carestream machine with exposure parameters 73kVp, 12mA, 13.9 seconds. identified included cloudy, rectangle, round, trapezoidal, square, ovoidal, pentagonal, hexagonal. In cloudy marked highest hexagonal least. Among sinuses observed few showed septations. contours comprised scalloped, wavy, curved, straight v-shaped. Out recess.
